Fish need dissolved oxygen in their environment and sometimes a waterfall is just not enough.  If you see your koi coming to the surface or hanging out where the water drops into the pond it may mean that they simply do not have enough oxygen.  Add nourishing oxygen when treating the pond with chemicals or use it year round, for summer-time aeration and winter-time de-icing.  We have an excellent choice of aeration products, from lake fountains to small fountains, spitting statues, heavy duty aeration pumps and air stones.
